Firstly a warm welcome to our new members to both the Bowls and Croquet teams. Certainly for some of our new bowls members it’s an immediate introduction to league matches, some may say it’s the best way to learn🤷♂️well done for stepping up to the plate! As per normal in the National and County cup competitions we were drawn against Premier Team Farnborough so we’ll forget about those competitions for this year and move on to the League. Shall we say a slow start for the B team (fielding new inexperienced bowlers) but they will improve🤞. As for the A team off to a good start sitting in 2nd place in the league👍. After winning all their games so far the Wednesday Triples team are proudly at the top of the league👏. Well done to everyone involved, keep going and ENJOY!
One thing that is obvious this season is the improvement to the green largely due to the installation of our irrigation system but also a big thankyou to our greenkeepers for the work they continue to do👏👏.

The draw for the internal competitions was conducted early this year to hopefully give people more time to arrange their matches in the timeframe given , please take into account that croquet matches will increase this year possibly restricting access to the rink you want when you want it so it’s advisable to get your matches arranged.
