The Season’s Tale – 2025

A season of many ups and downs, lets start with the positive IT’S OVER😂😂

After winning 5 and loosing 9 league matches the A Team were relegated from Division 1,

The B Team faired much better winning 8 and loosing 6 league matches finishing 4th in Division 3.

We did better still in the Farnham & District league winning 8 and loosing 6 league matches finishing in 3rd place.

In the cups we lost out to Farnborough in the Top Club, 2 x Fours and also the Coventry cup.

Much better news in the Farnham & District Cups but alas not quite good enough loosing in the semi finals in the Mixed Triples, The Boyd Shield and The Goolding Cup.

In the County and District competitions we had several players enter various competitions and on the whole did themselves and the Club proud and certainly didn’t disgrace themselves and hopefully this will encourage more players to enter next season.

A big shout out must go to the new/novice bowlers this season who have stepped into the breech on many occasions throughout the season and hopefully these players have enjoyed themselves.

So as I said at the start a very mixed bag but onwards and upwards lets hope everyone keeps fit and well over the winter break and we come back with renewed vigour next season.

A lot of time and money will be going into the green maintenance throughout the closed season and all being well the inclusion of a watering system which will hopefully improve our bowling green but unfortunately reduces our excuses of poor bowling.( well certainly mine but working on more excuses)😂

Finally just a reminder of our Bowls & Croquet A.G.M on the 29th October, it is important for as many as possible of our members to attend so please make the effort to be there.
